in 1960, several popular darlings of the day got together and made a film version of a silver cloud with a dark lining. in 'where the boys are' (such a beautiful title) it's spring break and the girls head south to meet boys. dolores hart, who made two movies with elvis before becoming a nun, is just one of many good actresses in this drama. connie francis was a very successful singer at the time and sang the seriously plaintive title song. (her recording of 'eighteen' is not in this film but it is awesome) yvette mimieux, george hamilton, they're all here.
