the sad sound of the wind whistling through sebastian's soul
it is time to take a moment to speak of sebastian. anthony andrews portrayed sebastian flyte, son of claire blooms's lady marchmain in the masterpiece theatre production of 'brideshead revisited.' the perfect word to describe his character is 'doomed.' jeremy irons was stunning as the narrator/flyte family intimate but anthony's role offered much more. with his hands in his empty pockets, teddy bear under his arm, tears refusing to fall, sebastian was a sad poem that haunted his own mind.
