edward wallant roamed this earth the same years as marilyn monroe. she appeared in 29 films. he wrote four books. they have both left a legacy and are both living on through their work.
shortly after wallant's death the edward lewis wallant award was established at the university of hartford. it is presented annually to an american writer whose fiction is considered to have significance for american jews.
