ask someone if they like mary astor and you are likely to hear how much they adore her. this actress is hands down superb in everything. from early lesser known films to 'dodsworth' and 'the maltese falcon', she shines and has so much grace! i want her to be my mother, my friend, and i wouldn't even mind were she my foe.
