robert doineau 1912-1994
what a lovely long life! this french photographer snapped one of the most famous images in the world. the title is 'le baiser de l'hotel de ville.' baiser as in 'kiss.' i am sure this, along with 'farrah', is the biggest selling poster ever. these lovers could be anywhere in any time. it is truly a timeless work of art. sorry to dispel the magic but this photo was staged. two people tried to sue doineau, claiming they were the subjects but failed.
