'oo wee, pretty scary'

when dylan sang those words it was funny. not so full of laughs is the film 'the other.' in the early sixties director robert mulligan made some classic movies including:

'to kill a mockingbird'
'inside daisy clover'
'love with the proper stranger'

come the seventies he dipped back into the world of children and their fears. 1972's 'the other' is deeply moving. just remembering one boy saying, 'little brother' sends a chill down the spine. the performances are great and the possibility of demonic potential lurking behind the bangs of such a cute boy is, as dylan sang, 'pretty scary.'

the young twins were played by chris and martin udvarnoky. it was the only film each one ever made.
