you just pop on a train and then next thing you know, you're there! london! if only. free spirited 'liz' (julie christie) and woe is me 'billy' (tom courtenay) were both lovable and stunningly portrayed. 1963's 'billy liar' was based on a book of the same name. directed by maestro outlaw john schlesinger, this is the film that put julie on the map. next stop: the oscar. these two are my fave brit actors.
