le sang d'un poete

in 1930 artist/writer/filmmaker extraordinaire jean cocteau made his first film, 'the blood of a poet.' surreal in every detail, this movie was one of the works of art that cemented my partnership with andrew in our band 'slow children.' sharing a love of art is a great bond.
cocteau and his fellow surrealists made a vow to break with tradition. every frame of this delightful film does just that. mirrors become pools of water for diving into, gravity loses meaning, statues.... move.

the gorgeous lee miller, war photographer and muse, plays the female lead in her only film role. opposite her is enrique rivero, man of astonishing expressions and torso.
