bridge of sighs

so many films have been made in venice, italy. why ever not? the real tearjerker is surely 'death in venice.' every single frame of visconti's vision was breathtaking. all these movies are like tiny paper boats pushed into the canal by tiny hands. some cities are just too beautiful for words and must be captured on film for all who live elsewhere.

so eloquently put pal, the closest i've been in regards to noted cities and waterways, was floating around chicago's land-locked water ways on such a smaller modern scale... just a contrast, chicago is way great!
