julie. nothing ever comes between us and her inner life. the scenery (venice), makeup (mascara and curls), and story (grief stricken parents) are simply elements that bring her to the party. so many of us thank her dearly for showing up. her role in the frightening 'don't look now' is going down in film history for the very sexual scenes with co-star donald sutherland. this entire film was a bit of a spooky blur and all i know for sure is that i nearly fainted when i left the theatre. venice, with it's canals and winding streets, was surely the proper location for this eerie tale.
