vincent was the greatest dutch impressionist. no one seems to have made quite the impression this man did. his paintings are out of this world, in many ways. the van gogh museum in amsterdam is lovely. not only are you in the same room with his paintings but you can look at them from a distance. they are so beautiful from across the room.

i saw the van gogh exhibit in 2008 at nyc's moma and sat for hours in awe of his brilliance.
