from the first moment i saw her, in the film 'the garden of the finzi-continis', my heart sank. for two reasons: i felt no one would ever understand her and i knew that any attempt i made to look my best was destined to pale.
since 1969 this ethereal actress has been busy in film and more recently on stage. i am sure hollywood had its chance and probably didn't know what to do with such an exquisite being. well, that's my version.
