in 1957 marilyn produced her first film, 'the prince and the showgirl.' her co-star was the formidable laurence olivier and chances are they had some differences of opinion. even if marilyn had no trouble (she did) with her lines, so much of her charisma onscreen had to do with her naturalness. olivier came from a very different school of acting but if anyone could attract an opposite it was surely her.
