xun zhou (some day i will know how to pronounce the name) won my heart for keeps when i saw her in 'suzhou river.' it has remained one of my favorite films. last night i watched her in 'stolen life.' the documentary style look was confusing at first, only because i am not used to seeing that format in dramas. i quickly forgot about the style as the movie was so good. this love story between a naive young girl and the handsome and affectionate young man she meets on her way to her first day at university is original, eye opening, and i believe it will leave a lasting impression.
