MADAM SATAN (1930, MGM) Directed by Cecil B. De Mille
With Kay Johnson as "Madam Satan".
even though he was known to be a tyrant on set, several actors worked with cecil again and again. gluttons for punishment. seems he got a taste of it himself when 'madam satan' failed to arouse sympathy with an audience. i would have gone twice just for the costumes. designer adrian will forever set my mind reeling with his brilliance. adrian, the man who was very particular which shade of purple would look best in black and white!
