it is possible that fashion designer karl lagerfeld is not a movie nut, which would not be the only distinction to set him apart from the genius costumer adrian. karl has far more appearances as 'himself' than as a designer in film. however he did design the costumes for 'high heels', directed by the amazing pedro almodóvar. the only footage of krazy karl i have seen is an hour long interview with charlie rose. if only that were six hours long! how great that would be to see on a flight. i'd be in paris before i knew it.
he is endlessly fascinating. i don't need to be concerned with any character flaws and being that i do not wear chanel i also do not to be concerned about whether i feel good in his designs. this man is so educated and humorous.
