if my memory serves me well
some music sits within you like a memory that you feel but can't really see well enough to describe. even to yourself. 'round midnight' is a movie that i know i really enjoyed but it is a vague memory. however, i will attest to it's beauty and tenderness. in 1986 a prominent french filmmaker brought to the screen the story of a troubled american jazz musician who is brought to france and befriended by a very sincere soul. so many people love jazz music but it is the french who are going down in history as the ones who worship at its altar. viva la france!
the glowing musician dexter gordon, the protagonist/musician of the film.
