jack's honor

while reading some trivia on jack nicholson i came to the same conclusion as the rest of the world. jack is very cool. though shy of t.v. appearances he has offered some interesting thoughts about acting and being a star to the press. for years he shared a driveway with marlon brando and worships the guy:

'So I mean it when I say that if you can't appreciate Brando, I wouldn't know how to talk to you. If there's anything obvious in life, this is it. Other actors don't go around discussing who is the best actor in the world, because it's obvious - Marlon Brando is.'

he loves the los angeles lakers: producers who work with jack have to work around the lakers schedule.

he wishes he could give up smoking. he only lies to cops and girlfriends. he knows that he gets to be 'jack nicholson' with his sunglasses on and a fat seventy year old guy when he takes them off. after years of being afraid to be alone he has come to enjoy solitude. look at this interesting fact:

Each one of the films for which he has won an Oscar has also won Best Actress in a Leading Role (Louise Fletcher, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975); Shirley MacLaine, Terms of Endearment (1983); Helen Hunt, As Good as It Gets (1997)).

i figure he must be one heck of a dance partner.
