in 1996 the actress emily watson debuted with 'breaking the waves.' she was unreal in it and left me just shaking my head. what an entrance.

in 2005 she made a smooth thriller called 'separate lies' in which she and actor tom wilkinson live a countrified/posh married life, but we know things they don't tell one another. their was an accident, a death, and a story to put an end to the questions. 

loyalty, betrayal, forgiveness are all dramatically tied up nice and neat. one part of the mystery is how did the actor rupert everett (i really dig him) manage to lose a little bit of his looks? it is kinda of comforting.  

he and everyone else is just great in this film.
