i am crazy for this movie. the beautiful people weaving their deceitful webs help one to forget the poor print quality. this italian film was made in 1953 and i defy anyone to dress as well as anyone in this movie.
gina lollobrigida became an international star, but the lead is played by may britt, a timelessly beautiful woman from sweden, who stopped making films when she married sammy davis jr.
there is so much secrecy in this movie and the consequences of everyone's actions are huge. the avenging of the one innocent victim is deeply satisfying. this is one of my all time favorite films.
