these three make a merry little group. marlon brando, anna magnani, and joanne woodward starred in 'the fugitive kind.' the year was 1960, the film was based on a tennessee williams play and the cast was swell. it is simply an uncomfortably difficult story about a drifter who winds up in a place where all the characters are not doing so well. drifting sounds like an interesting lifestyle but we humans tend to get stuck in places we drift into. sad for brando that he got trapped in such a miserable place.
then again, who says no to tennessee?
