other than watching the silent comic geniuses, i do not particularly enjoy comedies. after watching a box set of early cary grant films, i cannot blame cary as he is impeccable, but oh how i prefer when he plays compromised and complex. before landing into the lap of hitchcock, cary grant excelled in light roles. it is understandable as he was not only a delightful and great actor, but he seemed absolutely untouched by vanity.
