southern comfort

bette davis and director william wyler. this was the role that put an oscar in her hand for the second time. even though 'jezebel' is not a fave film of mine, bette is both gorgeously defiant and radiantly contrite opposite henry fonda, an actor who never fails to arouse no sympathy in me.

wow. a cigarette with a glass of milk.
