billy wilder and joe mankiewicz were both geniuses when it came to writing stunning and memorable films. billy won 7 oscars, joe won 11 (5 as a writer). 'all about eve' and 'sunset blvd' are perhaps two of the most quoted films. perhaps wilder's 'double indemnity' is as good as the two put together.
