i have read enough about making movies to know that there is a heck of a lot of waiting around. i have read that it is far from glamourous. however, people who 'act' must really love it. look how freaked out christian bale got? now that guy really called interference.
when brando made 'the wild one' i am pretty sure everyone deferred to him but there had to be tons of respect for fellow actor lee marvin. he walked away with the best line in the movie:

MEDIUM SHOT JOHNNY AND CHINO
Johnny has knocked Chino backwards and is standing back
waiting for him to get up. Chino sitting on the ground, trying
to get his breath. Johnny just standing there, breathing
hard, waiting. Lover Boy steps in, hands him a bottle of
beer. He takes a swig, grins up at Johnny foolishly, his
mouth bleeding.
CHINO
Johnny, I love you --
