i have only seen a few films winona ryder has made. even though jolie owned 'girl, interrupted' it was winona who made that film happen. even though it was johnny who owned 'edward scissorhands' he learned love from winona. then there was 'great balls of fire' which might have meant more to me if i were into jerry lee lewis.
so, all said, what i know most about her is how she comes off off screen. a friend of mine who was the film critic for the l.a. times was asked who was the most beautiful person she had ever interviewed. she replied: winona ryder. even when winona fell from grace the public rallied round in support. the gal is adored.
Winona Laura Horowitz (born October 29, 1971) chose a great stage name. i am seriously in favor of stage names!

i adore her in all her films. i think winona, natalie portman and scarlett johansson are cut from the same cloth as the silver screen starlets like elizabeth taylor, vivian leigh and norma shearer.
