this snap of tony curtis and marilyn monroe is from 'some like it hot.' (Voted #1 on the American Film Institute's list of 100 Funniest Movies) directed by the delightful troublemaker (bending the code with his genius) billy wilder in 1959, the film overflows with great performances. monroe's contract stipulated that ALL of her films would be in color. wilder successfully explained that if the film were not shot in black and white the men's makeup would look green.
