careers are funny

'mccabe and mrs. miller' is going down in history as one great movie. and how did warren beatty follow it up? with '$.' yes, the title that pre-ceded 'the artist formally known as.' for a man who has less than 30 screen credits warren's work as a director/actor/producer has left a legacy of greatness. what 1971's '$' has to offer is warren and goldie hawn at their most beautiful. even if goldie's 'dumb' persona arouses dismay in the hearts of the intelligent, she is not a dummy and her talent works wonders in this role.
quincy jones did the music which added much tension to a subject not so original. however, for the cost of no $ at all you can watch this amusing bank heist drama on hulu.com. it's definitely fun.
