in the name of slapstick

this man was not satisfied to make the world laugh itself to tears. charlie chaplin understood that art is meant to offer insight and in the face of great opposition he never gave in. robert downey jr. is having a great time of it these days and this month it is ever so easy to tune in to hulu.com and get a beautiful dose of his talent in 'chaplin.' many wonderful people were involved in this 1992 bio pic based on chaplin's autobiography, including the supremely charming geraldine chaplin, son of charlie.

i thought this movie was excellent in its direction and the acting of robert downey jr. was so charming and animated the way i think mr. chaplin was.
