a sweet life

mary cassatt came from a wealthy american family. after studying art in her native pittsburgh she settled in paris. she obtained a permit to paint within the walls of the louvre museum where many of her fellow impressionists gathered. what a life! she had many private teachers including charles chaplin. her work is so beautiful. today her paintings are worth millions.
