tonight's moon is shining like a huge peppermint in the sky. in 1902 a frenchman by the name of georges melies made a movie called 'a trip to the moon' (le voyage dans la lune). his special effects had people referring to him as the 'cinemagician.' what a super title! here is his famous image of a spaceship hitting the moon smack in the eye.

the cinemagician who can solve like a mathematician, abstract concepts of law and nature. hated algebra but loved parodies.
my mother once told me that when she was a little girl the funny cartoons of the day was caricatures of mickey mouse landing on the moon. its was so sci-fi and full moony :) shirley temple will be the one licking the ' peppermint' on the good ship lolly pop.....
