today i watched a t.v. interview with novelist vladimir nabokov that was conducted at the time of the american release of 'lolita.' check out his amazing viewpoint:
'i don't wish to touch hearts and i don't even want to affect minds very much. what i want to produce is that little sob in the spine of the artist's reader.'
