the story of outlaw john dillinger is coming to the big screen again. in the case of the bank robbing, prison escaping legend, once is not enough.
'dillinger' was first made in 1945 starring hell raiser lawrence tierney, then again in 1973 with the great warren oates. round three has johnny depp in the role of the law breaker who has managed to be romanticized to the point where he has become a folk hero. i have no doubt johnny's performance is exceptional even if i will choose not to see this movie. the astonishing marion cotillard plays his sweetheart billie.
