hollywood prefers blondes
barbara stanwyck performed as a brunette for such a short time. i think she looked super with dark hair which added to the determination in her eyes. alas, she hit the bottle ( peroxide) soon enough.
the strong characters ms. stanwyck imprinted on film was stronger than a peroxide bottle, as you know cinema goddess, ms.shazar. do you think blonde white washing was just another way of artistically creating contrast in b/w films. probably a very blatant reason, but just wondering.
