the film 'ed wood' is pure as snow. it has actual facets like a gemstone: humor, tenderness, buckets of sincerity, and talent like mad. every detail of director tim burton's film about indie filmmaker (we are talking serious shoestring) ed wood is full of love. this film will never fade out of style or fall from grace. here is some priceless dialogue:

Edward D. Wood, Jr.: And cut! Print. We're moving on. That was perfect.
Ed Reynolds: Perfect? Mr. Wood, do you know anything about the art of film production?
Edward D. Wood, Jr.: Well, I like to think so.
Ed Reynolds: That cardboard headstone tipped over. This graveyard is obviously phony.
