1957's 'jailhouse rock' is one of my fave elvis films. the other one is 1958's 'king creole.' for a man who came to lament being caught up in the motion picture machinery, elvis really was so good in these early films. a recurring theme seemed to be getting the guy to sign on the dotted line.
