the look that lasts











































i never forgot the classic cartoon character clyde crashcup and his tiny assistant leonardo. clyde was so refined and brilliant. clyde would draw on a chalkboard and his drawings came to life. how flipping great is that? i loved how he would bend down so that leonardo could whisper into his ear.

i once did a series of paintings on a character i invented, a therapist named dr. trance. i just now am realizing that he really looked like crashcup. first impressions go a long way.
