janis joplin's music has been included in dozens of films. one of the most interesting inclusions is german filmmaker rainer werner fassbinder's choice of her recording of 'me and bobby mcgee' in his epic (15 hours) television series 'berlin alexanderplatz' (1980). i never much liked that song but i surely feel moved by her voice.
